We stopped and popped the fishing rods overboard, and no sooner than the bait hit the water, the fish started biting. Ronan caught the first, a bream, and a keeper so he was so excited! He also caught two more in one go, so he thought he was pretty awesome!
The silver cobbler, or catfish as we know them, was a very popular catch. We caught about thirty of those, the last of which Troy caught using a smaller catfish. This one was huge!
We ran out of bait, so we jumped in for a swim before scooting around the lake once again. Troy even let the kids have a go at driving.
When we got back, Troy filleted the fish, which proved quite hard given the barbs the catfish have.
As soon as he started filleting the fish, these eagles started swarming around and came and picked up the scraps. Talk about good eyesight!! We went for a drive around to have a look at the Argyle dam, an amazing man made structure.
We arrived back to camp to find our Sydney friends just a few sites away! We had a swim, then a great dinner of fish! The silver cobbler turned out to be quite nice!! We then played 500 until the lights went out!
