This morning we caught up with Mel and Harry who had arrived the night before, before packing up camp and heading into town to check out the local market. We bought a boab tree for our wall and also checked out the Pink Diamonds from the local Argyle diamond mine. I thought I might add another sparkle to my finger. They were so beautiful, but sadly we couldn't even afford a speck!! While we were there there were some regular customers that come over from Switzerland to purchase the very rare pink diamonds, and the owner of the store had her personal collection out. The best diamond in this collection was valued at $800k. Nice!! But the best diamond in the store was on her finger, and it was amazing!!!
We then made our way to Lake Argyle. There is nothing at all there except for a caravan park and a dam wall! The caravan park has a fabulous swimming pool with a great view.
We then sat with Andy and Marilyn, our adopted granddies, and watched the sun set on the cliffs surrounding the dam.
