80 Mile Beach

We woke this morning and found a beautiful place! De Grey had some fantastic camp sites right on the river. Too bad we had arrived in the dark and couldn't see them! We packed up and set off for 80 Mile Beach, which has a great caravan park, although we soon worked out why it is called 80 Mile Beach. When the tide goes out you have to walk 80 miles to touch the water!! We tried to go for a swim and every time we got close to being knee deep in water, the tide went out further!! We ended up so hot we laid down in the ankle deep water to get wet, and then made the 80 mile trek back to camp! 

We went back down to the beach to watch the sunset, and Stella had a bit of a play with the camera!

Troy heard the fishing was good here, they have been catching sharks, but high tide was at midnight, so he now has to wait until tomorrow!
