Broome - Just Like Bali, Only Australian!!

We left Barn Hill bound for Broome. Travelling back along the unsealed road was not so bad as we knew what to expect, but Troy wanted a photo of it!!

We arrived in Broome and I was very pleasantly surprised. I had heard mixed reviews of Broome, but it reminds me so much of Bali, very humid and frangipani trees everywhere!! We arrived at the caravan park, picked up the coffee pods we had ordered a couple of weeks ago to be delivered here for when we arrived (although the lady was very reluctant to hand them over as she wanted them for herself!!) and set up camp.

Our site is huge and really shady so nice and cool, or as cool as you can get here!! The pool is ace, it even has a little cave with a waterfall running over the entrance! Once established and after a swim we headed into town to restock. We found the Sun cinema which is the oldest outdoor cinema in the world, or so they claim!!

Tonight we headed to the local market, which was more a food market than anything.

Then we geared up for the staircase to the moon, but unfortunately it was too cloudy. We saw a little bit then it started raining, and I mean tropical raining, so we got a little wet, as did the caravan as we had left all the windows open!! The rain stopped eventually and then everything was dry in about 5mins!! Gotta love the tropics!!
