Karijini - What A Way To Spend Mother's Day

We had originally planned to bypass Tom Price and Karijini in favour of following the coast, but with everyone telling us we had to go there, we figured we'd better listen and go there, and we are so glad we did!! Unfortunately the Tom Price mine tour was cancelled this morning, so we headed out to the Karijini National Park and set up camp.

Once we'd had a bite to eat we set off for Dales Gorge, which encompassed Circular Pool, Fortescue Falls and Fern's Pool.  The hike was great, very scenic, and totally rewarding!

We firstly reached Circular Pool, and as we were quite hot, took no time to shed the clothes and go for a swim. The water was beautiful, and the small falls were warm. We all had a go jumping off the small ledge, and much to my horror, Troy and Ronan even gave the high ledge a go!!

We then continued our hike to Fortescue Falls, and had another swim here. This area was again just beautiful.

We then continued on once more to Fern's Pool, which again was magnificent! The water was warm and the rushing falls gave you a nice massage!  We had the pool to ourselves and relished every moment.

Feeling very refreshed, we hiked back to camp for a drink with some fellow campers we met firstly in Kurrajong who happened to arrive in the same camp ground as we did! What are the odds!!
